The World Materials Conference (WMC), organized by the Chinese Materials Research Society (C-MRS), is a leading international academic conference focusing on the latest frontiers, scientific advances, and technological developments in materials science and engineering.

The 4th World Materials Conference (WMC 2027) will be held on January 24–27, 2027, at the Hainan International Convention & Exhibition Center, Haikou, China. The conference will bring together leading scientists, researchers, and industry professionals worldwide, featuring a series of high-level events, including the Global Summit of Leading Materials Scientists 2027, the High-level Meeting of Global Materials Society Leaders 2027, the Global Summit of Leading Young Materials Scientists 2027, and the 8th IUMRS International Conference of Young Researchers in Advanced Materials (8th IUMRS-ICYRAM).
