The Chinese Materials Research Society (C-MRS) cordially invites symposium proposals for The 4th World Materials Conference (4th WMC), the Global Top 100 Scientists Summit (GT100SS), and the 26th IUMRS International Conference of Young Researchers in Advanced Materials (26th IUMRS-ICYRAM), to be held in Haikou, China, from January 24–27, 2027.

The conference is jointly organized by C-MRS and the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS), with the support of E-MRS, MRS-J, MRS-K, MRS-I, and MRS-S. Researchers and experts in materials science and related fields are warmly invited to organize symposia and serve as Symposium Chairs. Symposium organizers are encouraged to promote international participation and invite leading scientists and emerging researchers from around the world.

Symposium Topics

Symposium proposals are welcome in all areas of materials science and engineering, including but not limited to:

Energy and Environmental Materials
Electronic and Information Materials
Advanced Structural Materials
Advanced Functional Materials
Biomaterials
Fundamental Materials Research
Emerging Interdisciplinary Topics

Symposium Requirements

1. The official language of the conference will be English.

2. Each symposium should have no more than 5 chairs, with at least one foreign expert as a chair.
3. Symposium chairs should fully participate in the symposium’s academic organization and ensure their attendance or delegate someone to attend.
4. Symposium contact persons should have sufficient time to handle the organizational tasks and communications with society. After the application, their contact details will be published on the website.
5. Symposium organizers should actively cooperate with the society in organizing the symposium, reviewing abstract submissions, and publishing full papers after the conference.
6. Each symposium must have at least 80 participants.
