The 4th World Materials Conference (4th WMC) was initiated and hosted by the Chinese Materials Research Society (C-MRS). Since its launch in 2023, the conference has rapidly developed into a highly influential international academic event in the field of materials science. The previous conference was successfully held in Guilin, Guangxi, China, attracting more than 4,000 participants from various countries and regions worldwide, with international attendees accounting for 40% of the total participants. The Global Top 100 Scientists Summit (GT100SS) is an international academic platform established for high-level scientists worldwide. The summit aims to gather world-renowned scientists, academicians, leading experts, and outstanding young researchers to discuss frontier scientific issues, major technological breakthroughs, and future trends in science and technology, thereby promoting interdisciplinary innovation and international scientific cooperation.

The IUMRS International Conference of Young Researchers in Advanced Materials (IUMRS-ICYRAM) is a flagship conference organized by the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS), dedicated to promoting international exchange and collaboration among young researchers in advanced materials science. The conference has long served as an important platform for young scientists worldwide to present innovative achievements, exchange academic ideas, and establish international collaborations, becoming one of the most influential international conferences for young researchers in advanced materials.

The 4th World Materials Conference (4th WMC), the Global Top 100 Scientists Summit (GT100SS), and the 26th IUMRS International Conference of Young Researchers in Advanced Materials (26th IUMRS-ICYRAM) will be jointly held from January 24–27, 2027, in Haikou, China. The conference is expected to bring together internationally renowned scholars, scientists, industry leaders, and young researchers from materials science and related interdisciplinary fields worldwide to showcase the latest scientific achievements and technological advances, discuss future opportunities and challenges in materials science, and further promote global innovation and international cooperation in materials research.
