D08-Printed functional materials
Symposium Introduction
Printing technologies have evolved from graphic reproduction into a transformative paradigm for the precise fabrication of functional materials and devices. This symposium highlights frontier advances at the intersection of printing science, colloidal assembly, and device engineering, with strong relevance to flexible electronics, photonics, and bio-interfaced systems.
Symposium Topics
2. Printed Electronics. Additive manufacturing, high-throughput inkjet and screen printing, and programmable assembly. Process fundamentals governing resolution, layer-to-layer registration, and multi-material integration for flexible circuits, transistor arrays, and large-area electronic systems.
3. Photoelectric Devices. Functional inks engineered for light-emitting, photovoltaic, and photonic devices, integrating photonic architectures with tunable bandgap and dispersion. Span high-resolution displays, anti-counterfeiting, information processing, precision medical diagnostics, and flexible solar cells.
4. Smart Sensing. Droplet-printing for conformal bio-electronic interfaces, neural interfaces, and brain-machine platforms. Coupling with artificial intelligence, supports the applications in intelligent healthcare monitoring, neural decoding, smart prosthetics, and human-machine interaction.
