H05-Emerging Functional Materials and Micro‑Devices for Paradigm‑Shifted Next‑Generation Information Hardware
Symposium Introduction
The transformation of the global information paradigm has generated unprecedented demand for nextgeneration hardware that can break the limitations of conventional computing architectures. A wide range of emerging functional materials and micro-devices spanning storage, sensing, flexible electronics, and other systems broaden pathways for reshaping the landscape of future intelligent electronics. Nevertheless, translating material-level innovations into stable, largescale practical information hardware systems still faces multiple fundamental scientific and engineering bottlenecks.
Open-minded deliberations on core disciplinary challenges are encouraged, with an aim to foster international academic ties among young scholars and align with ICYRAM’s conference vision of empowering young researchers to spearhead materials innovation. Invited talks and free abstract submissions are welcome.
Personal Introduction: Professor Xiaobing Yan, Distinguished Professor under the National Major Talent Program and a Changjiang Scholar, Council Member of the Chinese Young Scientists and Technologists Association, Chief Scientist of the National Key R&D Program, recipient of the Highest Award at the National Disruptive Technology Innovation Competition, The World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University, and formerly served as a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore. Published more than 200 SCI-indexed papers as first or corresponding author, including in leading top-tier journals such as Nature Nanotechnology and Physical Review Letters, with over 10,000 citations.
